The number of guest tickets allocated is determined by the size of the graduating class and the capacity of the venue. In 2024 we will be able to offer the following guest tickets to the graduating class:

Commencement

  • Bachelor’s degree candidates: 5 guest tickets (Must be ordered by April 14th)
  • Master’s degree candidates: 2 guest tickets (Must be ordered by April 14th)

Commencement Ceremony registration and ticketing will open on March 18, 2024. You must Register to Participate in the ceremony to be eligible to order tickets. Approximately fifteen minutes after you have registered, you may order and download your guest tickets by clicking the link in your confirmation email or going to emersongradtickets.universitytickets.com. Ordered tickets may be accessed at any time by selecting My Orders at the top of the ticketing site.

Waitlist

Students may request up to 2 extra tickets by joining a waitlist when they order their tickets. Waitlist tickets are derived from donated or unclaimed tickets and are not guaranteed. If waitlist tickets become available, requests will be fulfilled in chronological order beginning April 15, 2024. Students will be notified by email and will have 72 hours to claim their waitlist tickets before they expire and are offered to the next person in line. Students will be notified when all waitlist tickets have been distributed.

Sharing Tickets Encouraged

If you would like more tickets, students are encouraged to ask other candidates participating in their ceremony if they will have tickets they will not be using. Seating is general admission, so guests will still be able to sit together. All seats have been allocated. Please help us make sure there are no empty seats by sharing or donating your unwanted tickets!

Donated Tickets

Students may donate unused tickets on the ticketing site. When you select the ceremony you wish to donate tickets to, all of your unclaimed tickets for that ceremony will be donated and cannot be retrieved online. You must order the tickets you will be using before you donate. If you no longer need your already ordered tickets, please give them to your peers–we don’t want empty seats! it doesn’t matter that your name is on the tickets.

Children

Each ticket represents a seat and anyone occupying a seat must have a ticket. Children under 1 year old may enter without a ticket provided they sit on a ticket-holder's lap. Also, please be aware that strollers will not be allowed into the seating area and must be stored in the lobby.

General Information

  • The student who is participating in the ceremony does not need a ticket.
  • Ceremony tickets are free of charge and any attempt to sell tickets should be reported to Emerson.
  • A live stream of each ceremony will be available at emerson.edu/live for those who are unable to attend.
  • Please be sure to give your guests their tickets before the day of the ceremony, and arrange to meet them at a location outside of the building after the ceremony!

After April 14, 2024 all unordered tickets will be released to the waitlist. Your ordered tickets will remain on the My Orders page located at the top of the ticket site.
