Emerson College Los Angeles is staffed with a 24-hour team that is in contact with both the Emerson College Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department. After arriving on campus, students will complete Fire/Life/Safety online training and attend a session about safety and security procedures.
Every student must have health insurance coverage. Be sure to research this before arriving in Los Angeles and check with your insurance agent regarding your policy if necessary. Please see Health Insurance Requirement under Registration and Policies for details.
If you anticipate needing medical services while in LA, please research area providers covered by your insurance plan.
Bring your insurance card with you for any medical visits. Always provide your permanent address on any medical paperwork to ensure that you are billed appropriately.
