In our Washington, D.C. program, students of any major have the exceptional opportunity to spend a fall semester in the nation’s capital. Although D.C. is a city centered around politics, it is also home to a breadth of organizations in a variety of industries. Students will take courses and fulfill internships, gaining real-life experience working in: government, nonprofit, environmental, media, and communication organizations; arts, humanities, and educational  institutions; social advocacy groups, businesses, economics and trade firms; and law and criminal justice agencies. In addition, students will be able to participate in The Simpson-Mineta Leaders Series, a forum which hosts distinguished speakers and leaders from around the world.

The internship experience is an integral part of the Washington, D.C. experience. In the past, students have interned at renowned companies and places such as National Geographic, Peace Corps, ABC News, CNN, Interpol, the Library of Congress, The White House, and Amnesty International—just to name a few.
