This Call to Artists is one of many ongoing approaches in our Elma Lewis Living Stories Project, which seeks to move these stories beyond the traditional cloisters of academic and institutional archives and to also circulate them throughout vibrant and interactive community spaces, such as cafés, murals, schools and other places where people of all ages can engage with the legacies and impact of Miss Elma Lewis.
