The VMA Accessibility Reform Initiative (VARI) is the beginning of Emerson’s commitment to making media production more accessible.
Because media has the ability to reach and affect everyone, it is only fair for all to be able to access it. The VMA department’s goal is to keep the student experience and vision at the core of this initiative. Accessibility is most often addressed in post-production with subtitles and audio descriptions, but there are a number of accommodations that can be made to make the entire process more inclusive.
