Course Withdrawals

Information on the course withdrawal policy and the process for students to withdraw from a course.

Holds

Students with Holds on their account (e.g. Health Hold, Financial Aid Hold, Student Accounts Hold) will be prevented from accessing the registration system. Prior to their assigned registration day, students should check if they have any Holds via the “View My Holds” link on the Student Services tab on eCommon.

Leave of Absence (LOA) and Readmission

A Leave of Absence (LOA) is a temporary leave from the College and is valid for up to two years. Students complete an online readmission form when students wish to return to the College.

Majors & Minors

Information on undergraduate majors and minor programs of study. Students and advisors may also use the “What If” feature on the degree audit to explore requirements for the various major and minor options. (The degree audit and Undergraduate Catalog provide the most up-to-date information on requirements.)

ProArts Consortium

The Professional Arts Consortium (ProArts) is an association of seven institutions of higher education in Boston specializing in the visual and performing arts. Members include Berklee College of Music, the Boston Architectural College, the Boston Conservatory, Emerson College, the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, the New England Conservatory, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University.

Subject to the availability of space in classes, all Emerson students who meet the prerequisites are eligible to enroll in courses offered by consortium members. Information concerning courses offered by consortium colleges is available at the Emerson College Registrar's Office.
