Dr. Sherri Raftery graduated from Emerson College in 1990 and studied Theatre/Performance/Communications. Dr. Sherri earned her master's degree in Education with a concentration in Arts & Learning from Endicott College in 2004, and also her doctoral degree in education leadership in higher education in 2021 at Endicott. Dr. Sherri teaches speech and communication courses at local colleges. Dr. Sherri has been involved in Toastmasters since 2005 and served as the District 31 Director. Dr. Sherri earned the 2016 Toastmaster of the Year Award and was honored by The Home for Little Wanderers in 2008. Dr. Sherri's dissertation is "Foster Youth Mentorship Programs in Higher Education". She hopes to increase foster youth in higher education and decrease foster youth incarceration.
