Leslie Brokaw

Leslie Brokaw teaches Magazine Publishing Overview.

Leslie is a contributing editor for MIT Sloan Management Review. She is co-author of the new Frommer'sBoston Day by Day and Frommer's New England (both 2019), and has collaborated on over a dozen other Frommer's travel books. She worked with psychologists Dr. Anthony Rao and Dr. Paul Napper on their book The Power of Agency, published by Macmillian in 2019. She is currently reporting Frommer's Montréal Day by Day, scheduled for publication in 2020.

Leslie served as editor-in-chief of Leader magazine, a publication for adult volunteers of Girl Scouts of the USA. She was U.S. editor of Colloquy India, a magazine published by LoyaltyOne, a Canadian marketing company. For three years she reported on the New England film community as a weekly columnist for the Boston Globe. She started her magazine career at the national business monthly Inc., first as a writer and later as editor-in-chief of Inc.com.

Editing articles for the print magazine and website by staff and guests. Based at MIT's Sloan School of Management, MIT SMR contributes to the global conversation about the management practices that are transforming how people lead. From 2012 to 2016, Leslie was editor of digital media at MIT SMR, helping oversee editorial content at sloanreview.mit.edu, managing MIT SMR's Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn feeds, and working with the marketing and business development teams to grow the publication's online audience.
