Anna Feder has been working in cinema exhibition in various capacities for over two decades. She served as a programmer at Wicked Queer: the Boston LGBT Film Festival for four years. She also served as the Networking Program Manager for the Creative Mind Group advising students and setting opportunities for them at the Cannes film festival. Previous to this, she served as associate director of the Northampton Independent Film Festival and was the director of the Boston Underground Film Festival for seven years.
She currently serves as the Director of Programming in the Visual Media Arts department at Emerson College and curates the Bright Lights film series in the Bright Family Screening Room. She is affiliated faculty teaching a course she designed, Behind the Screens: the Mechanics of Cinema Exhibition. Additionally, Anna offers her services as a freelance consultant to emerging filmmakers looking for assistance in audience building and festival strategy, with film festivals looking to partner with academic institutions and filmmakers looking to exhibit in academic settings.
