Online Add Permissions

If you require permission to add a class, you will need it added to your account.

  1. Email the appropriate permission granter:
    • If the course is restricted to specific majorsclasses (e.g., Senior only), or you do not meet the course prerequisites, email the Department Chair.1,2
    • If the course is full or your need to register for the course late (after the first week of classes), email the course Professor.
    • If you are trying to register for another section of the same course (e.g., multiple Topics courses), email the Department Administrators (see below).
  2. If permission is granted, it will be added to your account. You'll receive an email confirming when this is completed.
  3. Once you receive the email, go to your Add/Drop Classes page ( to complete your registration. Your course is NOT automatically added to your schedule!

For VMA courses with restrictions or prerequisites, contact the VMA administrator listed below instead of the Department Chair.

For LA courses with restrictions or prerequisites, contact ela_academics [at] instead of the Department Chair.
