Tristan Raines is a Costume Designer, educator, and artist who has worked in New York, regionally, and internationally on a wide variety of productions and projects for the past 15 years. Select theaters and companies he has collaborated with are Center Theater Group, La Jolla Playhouse, The Muny, Maltz Jupiter Theater, Capital Rep, Playmakers Rep, Kaleidoscope Immersive, Cirque Música, Norwegian Cruise Line, Virgin Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. Tristan also works with the Off/the Lane organization to bring mentorship and universal theater education to young artists all over the country. Tristan is also a member of Rising Phoenix Repertory. Tristan began teaching at PACE University where he taught costume design related courses and developed the design departments capstone classes. He holds a B.A. in Technical Theater Design: Costume Design from Northwest Missouri State University, an MFA in Costume Design from Boston University, and hold certification in Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Leadership as well as certification in Inclusive Design for Online Education. He also studied musical theater and Shakespeare at Imperial College. Tristan is a proud United Scenic Artists Union Member.
