Dr. Maria Corrigan teaches media studies and comedy, with a focus on early film history and the transnational politics of slapstick. She is currently writing a book on the 1920s Soviet avant-garde collective, the Factory of the Eccentric Actor.
Her work has been published in Studies in Russian and Soviet Cinema, Television and New Media, and is forthcoming in the Journal of Cinema and Media Studies.
