Financial Aid

Private Scholarships

Various organizations, private agencies, foundations, community-based organizations, and civic groups award scholarships to help worthy students meet the cost of attending college.

Receiving a Private Scholarship

If you are awarded a private scholarship, you must include all private scholarships in your financial aid package. Emerson will adjust packages accordingly; any unmet need will be filled. Next, Federal Work Study, Perkins and/or No Interest Loans are reduced. The Emerson Grant funds are adjusted. And lastly, we will adjust the Subsidized/Unsubsidized Direct loans if necessary.

Private Scholarships

Below is a list of private scholarships, gathered for your convenience. Many more opportunities may be found online or through high school guidance offices and libraries.
