Student Organizations

At Emerson, you will be encouraged to get involved from the very day you arrive on campus. A major component of the undergraduate experience at Emerson College is offered through over 65 clubs and organizations and the events that they sponsor throughout the year. Some are directly related to an academic department while others are more special interest in nature, and they are all waiting for you!

The College recognizes over 65 active organizations during the academic school year that are supported by the Student Government Association (SGA) An outstanding feature of the Emerson community is that creation and creativity are always encouraged and flourishing; in fact, new organizations pop up on Emerson's campus each year.

To give you an idea, here are just a sampling of the clubs and organizations Emerson has to offer:

• Emerson Comedy Workshop: One of seven on-campus comedy troupes (also celebrating it's 30th anniversary on campus)
• Hands on Experience: An organization devoted to the awareness of deafness and sign language through performances and educational outreach
• Berkeley Beacon: The student run, weekly-produced newspaper covering both on and off campus news relevant for Emerson students
• Rareworks: An organization devoted to the production of theatrical productions fully produced, directed, managed and otherwise staged solely by students
• Frames Per Second: A student run organization designed to teach students all facets of film production work
• WECB: An on-campus student radio station that allows students to get involved in all facets of radio production
• Noteworthy: Emerson's only a cappella group, which is prominent both at on-campus events and within the Boston community
• Gauge: An organization that annually produces a full length, feature magazine

In addition to the aforementioned organizations, there are plenty of other ways to get involved. Emerson also offers cultural, spiritual, service, professional and Greek organizations for students.
