"Emerson was right for me from day one. I realized that, socially, college would be a challenge, but during a spring program for accepted students called April Preview, I attended a session specifically for multicultural students. In this first meeting with other students of color, I felt a sense of belonging, a sense of well-being. Their smiles and subsequent emails reassured me that I was ready to take on the challenge. From that moment on, I have felt connected with the Emerson community, particularly through our multicultural organizations. I know I have found my niche."

"Since arriving at Emerson, I have had so many positive experiences, especially those that involve multicultural students. As a commuter, it takes a little more effort for me to become involved in on-campus activities; however, my experience here has been a welcoming one. The multicultural organizations have helped me feel comfortable and connected to the Emerson community."
