Financing Your Education

An investment in an Emerson education is an investment in a lifetime of professional achievement.

Like most students looking seriously at Emerson College – you just know you belong here. You appreciate our unique focus on communication and the arts; you know we provide outstanding opportunities to pursue your career goals. You can imagine yourself fitting in, and finding friends and mentors. You’d have access to tools that will enable you to hone your skills. And you know you’d take advantage of our location in the city of Boston. But you’re concerned about the cost of attending.

Our dedicated financial aid staff is eager to guide you through the financial aid process and help you obtain any financial assistance for which you may qualify. Many resources are available, including loans, campus jobs and grants. Financial aid packages include one or more of these. About 65% of our families receive some form of assistance. The average award - usually a combination of scholarships, low-interest loans, and part-time employment - is approximately $13,000.

We encourage you to apply as you consider the affordability of an Emerson College education. You can find out more about the financial aid process and what to expect for assistance from our Financial Services office.

And don’t forget to watch those deadlines – they’re important to get the financial assistance for which you might be eligible!
