At Emerson. As a Visual & Media Arts student, you will be exposed to the many facets of this emerging field while diving into the track that interests you most. Beginning the first year, you will work on mastering essential production skills. Learn on the equipment that pros use, like Avid, Pro-Tools, Final Cut Studio, and an array of professional 16mm and digital cameras. Immerse yourself in our state-of-the-art facilities, including two radio stations, two new TV production studios, and numerous digital production labs.

But developing industry-specific skills is only part of the Emerson experience. Our programs also build a foundation in media history and analysis that feature a strong liberal arts component. This broader educational scope produces sharp, well-rounded individuals who are analytical, think creatively and act ethically — all of which helps you to succeed professionally.
