All emersonWRITES staff are members of the Enrollment Management Office at Emerson College and are dedicated to college access programming for high school students in the greater Boston area.
MJ Knoll-Finn is the Vice President for Enrollment Management at Emerson College. MJ oversees graduate and undergraduate admission, financial aid, student accounts, and student financial services. She has been very involved in developing pipeline programs, including emersonWRITES, to support first-generation urban students to consider pursuing both undergraduate and graduate studies.
Previously, MJ spent eight years as the Assistant Dean and Director of Admission at Northeastern University School of Law. Prior to that, MJ worked at Bentley College, Northeastern University Undergraduate Admissions, and Pine Manor College. MJ has a BA in Communication from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Northeastern University.
CT Milot is the Assistant Director of Enrollment Pipeline Initiatives at Emerson. CT recently joined Emerson and is charged with overseeing pipeline programming, especially the development of emersonCREATES.
Previously, CT was Associate Director of Veterans Upward Bound at Suffolk University. VUB is a Department of Education grant-funded TRIO program and serves low income/first generation veteran students in their pursuit of post-secondary education.
CT received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a concentration in Marketing and Public Relations. He is also a recently accepted MFA. graduate student at Emerson College, pursuing a degree in Visual and Media Arts.
Adena Smith is the Senior Administrative Associate to the Vice President for Enrollment Management at Emerson. She supports the Vice President in the administration of undergraduate and graduate admission, financial aid, student accounts, and student financial services. She is the coordinator for several interdepartmental committees and programs, including pipeline programming like emersonWRITES.
Previously, Adena spent over two years opening and then managing a café for Equal Exchange Coffee. Before that she was office manager for Boston venture capital firm MVM Life Science Partners, and spent time as a book conservation assistant at Harvard College’s Widener Library. Adena has a BA in Studio Art from Swarthmore College.
