Quick Facts

Emerson is one of the premiere colleges in the country dedicated exclusively to communication and the arts while giving students a solid foundation in the liberal arts. We’ve been doing it for more than 130 years. More information »

Get to Know Boston

The intersection of Tremont and Boylston Streets in the heart of Boston’s theatre district is the epicenter of our campus—just grab a window seat at Emerson’s Cafe any afternoon and you’ll see what we mean.

Emerson is an essential partner in Boston’s urban community, and we’ve got location, location, location. But more than that, we have the constant interaction among students, faculty and staff that makes Emerson so much more than the sum of its parts. A group of buildings with stellar equipment and facilities is the framework from which our colorful, creative students build their group projects, co-curricular collaborations, and study groups. Diversity on Campus

Since its founding in 1880, diversity and civic engagement have played a fundamental role in the evolution of Emerson College. If you walk onto campus today, you’ll see multiculturalism and diversity play an active part of Emerson life. Keep in mind that diversity is a lot more than multiculturalism; it is about gender, religion, life experience, and many other things.

Whether you hope to engage in thoughtful debate, organize cultural awareness events on campus, or to simply find a space on campus to explore diversity, there is no shortage of resources here. More information »
