"Boston is such a student-centered city! I love the close proximity to so many world class institutions of learning. Emerson, fortunately, is centered right among them all in the middle of the city!"

"Boston is not an overwhelming city. It's small enough to walk across, but there is so much to do that there is never a dull moment. I like to spend evenings at museums and gallery openings, amazing restaurants, and music venues. There is so much history and culture here; it makes me proud to call myself a Bostonian."

"I love the variety of restaurants that can be found in a five mile radius of Emerson, the many small shops and cafés that still exist in Cambridge, and, of course, Fenway Park (or Pahk)...the place to express your unhealthy relationship with the Red Sox."

Admission Counselor
“I have always loved Boston in the summer. There is nothing better than finding a good food truck, perusing one of the many farmer’s markets, or grabbing a cupcake from one of the bakeries on Newbury Street, and people watching on a warm summer’s day.”

“My favorite thing to do in Boston is to explore the many green spaces the city has to offer. From the Boston Harbor Islands to the Boston Common and Public Garden (obviously), there are plenty of places from which you can take in the beauty of the city. They’re great places to have a picnic with friends or to read a book quietly by yourself.”

“I love roaming around the city on a nice day. My favorite route is to wander through the Boston Common & Public Gardens and then march up to Faneuil Hall to people watch and enjoy the historical sites. My strolls through the city somehow always wind up in Boston’s North End around dinner time, where you can choose from hundreds of delicious Italian restaurants for a bite to eat!”

"One of my favorite things to do is to see live music. Boston is such a great place for this because there are so many smaller, less expensive venues in and around the city to discover some really great bands. One of my favorite venues is the Middle East in Cambridge."

"Boston is one of America's most literate cities, so I love browsing at Brookline Booksmith or at one of the antique bookstores in Cambridge. I'm happy to support independent booksellers and there's no better way to spend a snow day than with a good read."
