Undergraduate Admission
Admission Profile
Emerson College is a member of the Common Application and we require an Application Supplement. Students can find the steps to apply online. Applicants for programs in the Performing Arts or Film must fulfill additional requirements.
The academic preparation for successful candidates should include four years of English and three years each of mathematics, science, social science, and a single foreign language. The admission committee is interested in how students have challenged themselves academically, balancing hard work with extracurricular activities.
Profile for the Incoming Class of 2015
The 920 students who entered in September combined impressive academic records with a variety of co-curricular activities and special achievements. Some highlights of our class include a published poet, a video producer for Johnson and Johnson’s YouTube channel, a Junior Olympian gold medalist in gymnastics, a voiceover artist for Blues Clues, a camera operator for America’s Got Talent, and a student who has been running a soap company as a small business since grade school.
