The Graduate Student Association (GSA) connects graduate students to each other and to the rest of the College community. The group sponsors professional and networking events, and coordinates student-sponsored activities.

Redivider is a literary journal published twice a year, dedicated to graduate student prose, poetry, and nonfiction work. Redivider is written, edited, and designed by students. All graduate students are encouraged to submit work to and assist with the production of the journal.

Graduate Student Readings showcase the creative writing talents of the Emerson graduate community. Students read original poetry, fiction, and nonfiction work for supportive and enthusiastic audiences at these readings which are held regularly throughout the academic year.

Communicators for Health connects Emerson students with others interested in the health care industry. They work with students at Tufts University and health care professionals to exchange information and sponsor programs to promote health care issues. Activities include sponsoring a blood drive and bringing speakers to campus.

The Emerson chapter of the Graduate Radio-Television News Directors Association (GRTNDA), a national broadcast news directors’ professional organization, is open to graduate students committed to broadcast journalism careers. GRTNDA activities include professional and service programs as well as social events.

Graduate Students for Global Marketing Communication focus on issues that impact marketing communication around the world. They hold workshops and events to promote discussion of global communication issues and foster community among graduate students in the program.

Graduate Students for Integrated Marketing Communication (GSIMC) exists to promote the idea of integrated marketing communications and its purpose in the business environment through career-focused events and discussions. GSIMC also works to facilitate a familial feeling throughout the graduate student IMC body. In the past they have brought in guests from organizations such as the American Marketing Association and the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council. Events like this are planned every semester along with other networking and social events.

Students for Publishing was founded with the mission to create learning and networking in the publishing industry. While the group has at its core students in the publishing graduate program, all students interested in publishing are encouraged to take part in the organization and its events.

Emerson’s Cultural Center was established in 1970 to enhance the educational, cultural, and social needs of the campus community. Located on the Berkeley Street side of 132-34 Beacon Street, the facility hosts a variety of formal and informal events for students, faculty, and staff, and serves as the headquarters for the College’s multicultural students.
