What degree programs are available through the Encore Scholarship Program for recent alumni?

There are four graduate degree programs that are currently eligible for the program:

  • Communication Management
  • Global Marketing Communication and Advertising
  • Health Communication
  • Integrated Marketing Communication
How do I apply?

You can apply online. You can also find more information about applying to our graduate programs.

The application deadline for Emerson alumni who are interested in these programs is June 15 for Fall applicants. It’s that simple. We will calculate the discount for all eligible admitted applicants and will inform you about the opportunities available through Career Services once you enroll.

When do I have to start the program?

You must start full-time in fall 2009.

What is the duration of the 25% tuition discount?

From fall 2009 entry until the end of the spring 2011 term or the end of your program, whichever comes first.

Can I be a part time student and still receive the discount?

No. You must be full time (8 or more credits depending on the program) to receive the discount.

Would I be able to work and still get the discount?

Yes. Many students are full time in their program and are able to also have a full-time or part-time job.

What costs are covered by the 25% tuition discount?

The tuition discount will be applied to the cost of your classes as long as you remain full time in the program. It does not cover books or fees.

Can I defer my admission to another term and still get the discount?

No. To be eligible for the discount, you must start taking classes full-time in September 2009.

What services will I receive through the Career Services Office?

Career Counseling - The Career Services staff will meet with you individually to help you refine your skills to successfully navigate a new career path. They will assist you in identifying career goals and offer strategies on reaching these goals.

Professional Development Workshops - The Career Services staff, in partnership with Alumni Relations, will hold a series of workshops to give broad guidance about the communication/marketing industry. You will learn how to develop strategies and find tools that lead to a successful career. They’ll also provide networking opportunities among students, alumni and potential employers.
