Health Forms
Health documentation is required for graduate students enrolling in six or more credits. When we receive your tuition deposit, you will be sent a health booklet that includes detailed information on health requirements and instructions to assist you in completing your health forms. Failure to comply with health requirements will prevent registration for subsequent semesters.
Please start by reading the following Health Letter that provides an overview of all required heath forms.
You must submit the following forms by September 30, 2009:
If you are enrolling in fewer than six credits at Emerson, you do not need to submit any health forms. Simply e-mail the Center for Health & Wellness at healthservices@emerson.edu with your name, Emerson ID number, and the number of credits in which you are enrolling. If you decide to register for more than six credits in a future semester, you will need to meet the compliance requirements in effect at that time and submit the required health forms before you will be allowed to register.
For more information, visit the Emerson College Health Center website.
Housing
Off-Campus Student Services (OCSS) is an invaluable resource and can help you find an apartment and/or roommates through various workshops and databases. OCSS will hold summer workshops to help students find housing and roommates on June 5, June 19, July 10. Contact OCSS at ocss@emerson.edu or visit their website for additional information.
Also, a number of our students are able to find housing and/or roommates through resources such as Craigslist. Be sure to carefully vet everything before moving forward, and definitely follow their guidelines on safety and avoiding scams.
Figure Out Your FinancesConsult with Financial Services to help you understand and meet the costs associated with an Emerson education. A costs chart is available that itemizes all costs (not including room/board, cost of living, etc.). Please note that these are current costs, and Fall 2009/Spring 2010 costs will be published later in the year.
Also, you’ll want to do some basic financial planning to ensure that you are able to cover the cost of tuition and the cost of living. Whether this income is covered by loans, savings, merit aid, work earnings, tuition reimbursement, etc., it is vital that you set up a budget to make sure that your income exceeds your expenses. A very basic budgeting template is available online.
