To apply for this program, you may fill out either the Emerson Application or the CSDCAS application. Emerson’s admission committee has no preference for either application over the other. You do not need to fill out both.
The Emerson College application will reach our application system more quickly, as we process all your documents here on campus. Once we receive all your credentials, your application will be sent to the admission committee.
The CSDCAS application, like any common application, can be convenient if you are applying to many schools. You only need to fill it out once, and you will send one set of your credentials directly to CSDCAS.
CSDCAS Delays & Deadlines
If you apply via the CSDCAS application, there may be a delay in processing your application here at Emerson as we wait for your CSDCAS application to reach Verified status before we enter it into our system. During the busiest times of the year, this may take a few weeks.
However, as long as you submit your application to CSDCAS prior to the application deadline, it will be considered in good standing. We understand it may take some time for CSDCAS to continue the processing on their end.
Once we receive your verified CSDCAS application, you will receive an email that confirms the receipt of your application and invites you to set up an account in the Emerson College Application Portal.
Additional Application Materials
Emerson College requires a resume along with your application. You will not upload a resume on the CSDCAS site. However, CSDCAS will ask you to list your employment history, as well as many other questions related to your professional career. We will look at these as we would a traditional resume.
CSDCAS requires both transcripts and test scores. Please send Emerson your test scores also. We do not need your transcripts if you are applying through CSDCAS. Once you are accepted into the Communication Disorders program, we will need a copy of your official transcripts.
There is no separate application for fellowships. Both CSDCAS and Emerson College applicants are considered for fellowships at the time of application review.
You will not hear about the admission committee’s decision through CSDCAS. You will receive a letter and additional information through the Emerson College Application Portal.
