Cinematography (BA, BFA)

This specialization is designed to explore the artistic creation of the moving image. Classes will explore the craft and technology of cinematography and videography to increase consistency and predictability and to enhance experimentation in the creation of the moving image.

Visual and Media Arts Foundations (12 credits)

The Visual and Media Arts Foundations offer students a broad theoretical, historical, and practical introduction to the visual and media arts.

Introduction to Disciplines (16 credits minimum)

At the Introduction to Disciplines level, students explore one or more of the department’s main discipline areas.

The Equipment Distribution Center's State-of-the-Art Equipment

The Emerson College Equipment Distribution Center (EDC) loans professional, state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to faculty and students to fulfill class assignments. Professional staff and student employees are available to provide technical support when needed. It includes the Film Equipment Center and the Video, Audio, New Media Equipment Centers.
