Design & Tech Studio
![]() The Design & Tech Studio |
This space, located in the Tufte Building, is the classroom, laboratory, and meeting place for all design/tech students. It was designed to encourage a community of designers and technicians, and students and faculty. Adjacent faculty offices make faculty readily accessible to design/tech students.
The main studio includes a drafting area, CAD lab, sound station, and craft space with a sink and rendering area. Each area seats 12 or more students, and the CAD lab has current Auto CAD and Photoshop Creative Suite software. There’s also a 400-square-foot light lab for lighting design, which also serves as a classroom.
