Student media organizations sweep the RTDNA AP Awards

Student media organizations at Emerson were the recent recipients of twelve 2009 Associated Press (AP) awards. Student television news station WEBN won six awards, including Best Breaking News Coverage; Emerson Independent Video (EIV) News was awarded Best Newscast; and WERS (88.9 FM) won for Best Public Affairs programming and Best Feature.
The awards will be presented at the AP-Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) Regional Conference Friday, April 16, at the Marriott Hotel in Newton, Massachusetts. The winners of the News Station of the Year awards will be announced at the ceremony.
Emerson took awards for the following categories:

Investigative Reporting: Political Firefight
