Minors
Department of Communication Studies minors require a minimum of 16 credits. You may count up to 8 credits from the General Education Requirements toward a minor.
Minor in Leadership and Management Requirements (4 courses, 16 credits)

Minor in Political Communication Requirements (4 courses, 16 credits)

Minor in Sociology Requirements (4 courses, 16 credits)
| SO 150 | Principles of Sociology |
| SO 200 | Communities and Race Relations |
| SO 206 | Gender in a Global Perspective |
| SO 208 | Visual Society |
| SO 303 | Culture and Power |
| SO 360 | Deviance and Social Control |
With the permission of the minor advisor, certain Institute courses may count toward the Sociology minor, such as IN 123 Ritual and Performance and IN 137 Boston’s Movers and Shakers.
Minor in Philosophy Requirements (4 courses, 16 credits)
Students are required to take any four PH courses. With the permission of the minor advisor, certain Institute courses may count toward the Philosophy minor. Examples include:
