Event Commemorates Past Student
December 21, 2010
On Thursday, Dec 2, the Department of Communication Studies hosted the David P. Twomey III Public Diplomacy Lecture/Dialogue. The event was in honor of David P. Twomey, an exceptional graduate student who passed away from H1N1 in 2008. As part of the ceremony, recipients of the Twomey Washington Award were announced and a film montage was shown.
In addition to the administrators, faculty, and students in attendance, David's parents were there as well as the Former U.S. Ambassador to Costa Rica, Peter Cianchette, who was the inaugural speaker.
