Kate Victory Hannisian is an editor and writer with experience in book publishing and journalism.
As the owner of Blue Pencil Consulting, Kate helps clients develop and polish book manuscripts, book proposals, articles and social media content. Projects have ranged from helping author Dyan deNapoli develop the book proposal for The Great Penguin Rescue (Free Press/Simon & Schuster, 2010) to producing a policy report for the National Women's Business Council.
Kate also works with authors who choose to self-publish. Recent book projects include Web Marketing On All Cylinders: Kick-Start Your Online Presence by John McDougall (Intera Press, 2013); Joy-Worthy: A Mother's Guide to More Joy, Less Stress and No Guilt by Julie McGrath (The Joy Source, 2012); and Lucky by Design: Navigate Your Path to Success by Beth Goldstein (Dog Ear Publishing, 2011).
Kate has also taught workshops on business communication, social media, marketing, publicity, writing, and publishing for the Harvard Kennedy School of Government's Shorenstein Center, the Enterprise Center at Salem State University, North Shore Community College, and a number of Boston-area professional networking groups.
Prior to starting her own company, Kate spent 17 years in journalism, covering a wide range of business and financial topics.
