Emergency Notification System

Emerson utilizes a state-of-the-art Emergency Notification System (ENS) called Rave to send Emerson Alert messages to students, faculty, and staff in the event of an emergency or school closure. When activated, this program simultaneously sends voicemail messages to individuals by telephone (both landline and cellular), text (SMS), and email. Visit Emergency Management for more information about ENS.

Crime Log

The Emerson College Police Department maintains a record of every criminal incident that is reported to the Department. The Department’s daily log summarizes each reported criminal incident, and includes, when available, the nature of the crime reported, the date and time the crime occurred, the location of the crime, and the disposition of the complaint, if known. Each day’s log is available for inspection by the public for 60 days at the Emerson College Police Department.

The daily log is updated each business day with information concerning reports made to the Department the prior day. Reports received on weekends and College holidays are recorded in the log on the next business day.

Fire Log

The Police Department maintains a written fire log by date and fire-related event/alarm. The log includes the nature, date, time, and location of each fire-related event/alarm and is available to the public.
