Selecting a Meal Plan

Students living on campus may choose among the two Block Plans, two Weekly Plans, or the Flex Plan. The Commuter Plan is designed specifically for off-campus students. It is important to note, however, that students who do not select their Meal Plan during housing registration will automatically be registered for the Flex Plan.

Changing a Meal Plan

Students may change their meal plan once per semester. Changes are initiated online and must occur prior to the end of the College's add/drop period. Changes made will be effective no later than the Monday following the submission of the student's change request form.

Additional changes will be granted under extreme circumstances by appeal to the Food and Housing Petition Board. Please contact the Office of Housing and Residence Life for information regarding the petition process.

Carrying Over Board Bucks

At the end of the fall semester, any unused Board bucks will be carried over to the next semester. Board bucks associated with on-campus meal plans do not carry over to the next academic year. At the end of the spring semester, students can request a 50% refund of their remaining Board Bucks over $10.00. To request this refund, students should email bills@emerson.edu from their Emerson email account letting us know which mailing address to use.

Commuter meal plans and their associated Board bucks will be carried over to the next semester and/or next academic year until the balances are depleted.
