Office of the President
The President is the chief executive officer of Emerson College, appointed by the Board of Trustees. He works closely with the Trustees to ensure that the College fulfills its mission, establishing the college’s strategic vision and priorities, providing leadership for their implementation as well as for the day-to-day operation of the college. The President serves, ex officio, as a member of all committees of the Board of Trustees.
The President is also the primary representative of Emerson College in the local Boston and Massachusetts communities, as well as nationally and and internationally. He ensures that the College is engaged in and contributing to those communities, and is a leader on issues of consequence, especially as they relate to higher education and to the work of the college.
The Office of the President supports the President, amplifying his capacity to engage with students, faculty, staff, and the many communities in which Emerson participates, and to do the College’s work.
