"Jason” Xin Yang is an International Student Advisor in the Office of International Student Affairs. He advises international students in F-1 status on matters of immigration status, travel permissions, and US work authorization. He manages the Junior Coordinator team at OISA and enjoys working on college initiatives to promote global engagement and international student support.
Prior to joining Emerson College, Jason worked at Boston University School of Music Office of Admissions, Boston University Tanglewood Institute, Berklee Summer Program, and Independent Schools in the Greater Boston Area.
Jason received a Bachelor's Degree from Guangzhou, China, a Master of Music from University of South Carolina-Columbia, attended Boston University Doctor of Musical Arts program. He is a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and a graduate from NAFSA Academy. Jason is a saxophonist, enjoys participating in events at the Institute of Contemporary Art, attending concerts at Boston Symphony Orchestra, and cheering for the Boston Celtics and Bruins at TD Garden.
