Dr. Valerie Johnson joined Emerson College and the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders in August 2021. Her clinical and research interests are in the areas of child language acquisition and disorders, and multicultural and social justice issues in speech, language, and hearing sciences. Her research has been presented at national and international conferences and published in numerous journals. Dr. Johnson teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in both the residential and Speech@Emerson modalities.
