Laurel Westrup has been teaching at Emerson LA since 2009. She is co-editor, with David Laderman, of Sampling Media (Oxford University Press, 2014), and her work has also appeared in the journals Film and History and Spectator. Laurel is currently working on a manuscript on short musical media. In addition to teaching at ELA, she is a faculty member in Writing Programs at UCLA.
