Professor Jim Foley has taught several 300-level courses at Emerson College. This includes TV News Producing, Sports Reporting and Sports Producing in the Department of Journalism, as well as Sports Media in the Department of Communication Studies. He creates real-world media environments to prepare students for careers. Many of his students have earned desired jobs, internships and grad schools afterward.

Foley began his career in local sports radio before moving to Tri-Cities, Washington. There he became the sports director at KNDU-TV. Foley returned to New England as a sports anchor at WMUR-TV in Manchester, N.H. before working as a sports producer at NBC10 Boston. 

Foley graduated from Emerson College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in broadcast journalism.
