 Adam Spry (White Earth Anishinaabe) teaches Native American, global Indigenous, and American literatures. His research examines the intersection of Native cultural production and U.S. federal Indian policy over the past two centuries. His monograph, Our Warpaint is Writers' Ink (2018), is a comparative literary history of writing by, and about, the Anishinaabeg people since the nineteenth century.
