Curriculum

The EML currently hosts curriculum in multiple areas of new media, including but not limited to: 3D modeling & animation, analytical drawing, artistic anatomy & 2D animation, character design, rigging & animation, game design, development & coding, virtual reality & augmented reality, 360 cinema, photogrammetry & LiDAR scanning.

Exploring New Media

These areas of new media are exciting and complex, and often garner the interest of many students, creating a community of makers that nurtures collaboration and maximizes creativity. At the EML, students can reflect on past successes for inspiration and get excited about exploring future technology to meet the creative challenges of their own work.

Emerging Media Lab (EML)

The Emerging Media Lab is located on the 3rd floor of the Ansin Building at 180 Tremont Street. After acquiring a basic skillset from academic courses, students are encouraged to bring their own interests and research to the lab in the form of self-driven, upper-level work, including BFA projects.
