Emerson College has been closely tracking developments related to the COVID-19 virus. Given the current situation, The Office of Graduate Admission is currently accepting virtual meetings and calls. Students can schedule a call or virtual meeting with our Assistant Directors by making an appointment on our Assistant Directors page. Students who would like to speak to a current student can make an appointment on our Student Ambassador page. Experience Emerson: The Writing Workshop

Thursday, October 22, 2020  from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. EST

This virtual session is an introduction to the workshop experience for the MFA program in Creative Writing. You'll get the opportunity to interact with Emerson faculty. Our faculty will talk about the path through the MFA degree, the creative workshop structure, and the general inspiration of being part of a creative milieu within the workshop community. They will also discuss the MFA thesis, which is the culmination of the MFA program. Admission staff will also be available to answer any questions you may have about the program or application process. We hope to see you there!

Join us for a virtual glimpse into our Writing for Film and Television (MFA) program! Hear from Emerson screenwriting faculty about ways to craft a layered, complex protagonist for your screenplay or pilot script. From your protagonist’s backstory and flaws, to how they interact with the world of your story, you’ll leave the session with new ideas for how to breathe life and depth into your main character. Join us for a virtual glimpse into our Theatre Education and Applied Theatre (MA/MFA) program! Theatre Education and Applied Theatre are about more than making plays together. Theatre is a powerful tool for exploring and understanding "what is," conceiving what might be, and moving individuals and society forward through the powerful medium of performance. During this hands-on workshop, we’ll discuss a variety of approaches available to the teaching artist/artist teacher who wants to make change while making theatre.
