The best writers and industry professionals from around the nation and world have visited Emerson College as part of the WLP Reading and Publishing Series. Additionally, our distinguished faculty and alumni have celebrated their accomplished work as part of the Faculty/Alumni Reading Series.
The Writing, Literature, & Publishing Department also provides many opportunities for students to read their work to build confidence in their work and form lasting connections with other writers at Emerson, around Boston, and beyond.
WLP Reading Series
We invite some of the best writers from around the nation and the world to come to campus to meet with students, visit classes, discuss the craft of writing, and read from their latest work.

Faculty/Alumni Reading Series
We highlight the accomplishments of our distinguished faculty and alumni through joint readings held during the academic year. WLP Publishing Series
A speaker series that invites famous publishers, renown magazine and book writers, and other industry professionals to campus. All events are free and open to the public.

Lectures, Readings, & Talks
We also collaborate with other academic departments and student organizations to bring renown publishers, writers, and scholars to campus. Additionally, our accomplished faculty and alumni often participate in off-campus readings, lectures, conferences, and workshops.
Student Reading Series
We believe that the opportunity for our students to read their work in public settings is vital.
