    Two Emerson classes spent the spring semester putting together a book that will look back on Artists for Humanity’s first two and a half decades through the eyes of artists, clients, donors, mentors, and others who have played a role in AFH’s history. Interspersed with the interviews will be original artwork made by the young people AFH hires.

    Benoit Denizet-Lewis, assistant professor in the Department of Writing, Literature, and Publishing, wrote a piece for The New York Times Magazine about an organization’s use of canvassing to reduce prejudice against transgender people among Los Angeles residents.

    David Kishik, assistant professor of philosophy, won the Helaine and Stanley Miller Award for Outstanding Teaching; Alden Jones, affiliated faculty in writing, won the Alan L. Stanzler Award for Excellence in Teaching; and Rhiannon Luyster, assistant professor of communication disorders, won the Alumni Award for Teaching and Innovation.
