How My Gift Helps
Gifts to the Emerson Fund help the College meet its most pressing needs, from helping qualified students attend regardless of their financial capacity, to purchasing state-of-the-art equipment. Your gift keeps us on the cutting edge of technological and curricular innovation and helps us maintain a learning environment that is vibrant, diverse, and relevant.
Last year, more than 4,300 generous Emersonians gave to the Emerson Fund, committing more than $1 million to the College.
Every gift—no matter the size—makes a real impact on the College. In fact, a strong annual giving program (which indicates a high level of alumni, parent, and faculty satisfaction) factors into a college's rank in publications such as U.S. News and World Report and helps convince corporations and foundations of Emerson's worthiness when they consider requests for grants. Whether you can afford to donate $20 or $20,000, your gift strengthens Emerson’s finances, programs for students, and its reputation.
WHAT your gifts enable Emerson to do
Enroll the most talented students by offering competitive financial aid packages and an outstanding, hands-on educational experience.
Increase diversity on campus, and ultimately in the industry, by providing scholarships to promising students who would otherwise be unable to attend.
Recruit and retain a world-class faculty by providing ongoing professional development and research opportunities.
Fund special student opportunities, from the cherished EVVY Awards and Kasteel Well study abroad program in the Netherlands to our 2008 media coverage of the Beijing Olympics, and the nation's best campus radio station, WERS 88.9 FM.
Maintain superb resources, including a well-stocked library and state-of-the-art production facilities and studios.
Attract additional funding from corporations and foundations, many of which consider the percentage of alumni, parents, faculty, and staff who donate when deciding whether or not to make a gift.
