Parent and Family Orientation
A Special Invitation to Parents
At Emerson College, we view the relationship we have with our students' families as a partnership–a partnership created to help students be successful. We also know that when parents are informed, students benefit. Therefore, Emerson College offers a special orientation program just for parents and families of new students.
Designed to complement your student's orientation program, Parent Orientation will help you get better acquainted with the academic programs and services offered to your student and will address your questions and concerns. It will also offer insights into the adjustments you and your new college student will face during the next few years. The Parent and Family Orientation schedule describes the valuable information that will be presented. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to meet with several members of the community to whom you are entrusting your student. Parent Orientation is offered free of charge!
Please take a few minutes to register your party to participate in this fall's Parent Orientation program via on our online process. If you need assistance, please contact the Orientation Hotline at 617.824.8638 and we will be happy to assist you! Please note that information you provide for your registration will only be used for the expressed purpose of Parent Orientation and will not be shared with any other office. After the close of the Parent Orientation program, you will be emailed an evaluation to ask for your feedback on the program.
Additionally, if you plan to attend Family Weekend this fall, please visit their website for information on this separate program.
