Organization of the Year

In 1990, the Office of Student Life began acknowledging the contributions of undergraduate SGA recognized student organizations on campus.  The Organization of the Year award is granted on the basis of an undergraduate club or organization’s  accomplishments, volunteer work, and the group’s community based programming efforts at Emerson College.

Nominate an SGA Club or Organization to be Organization of the Year!


Advisor of the Year

Bestowed by the Student Government Association, this award is granted to an undergraduate student club or organization’s advisor who has gone beyond average expectations to aid the student membership of a club/organization in achieving their goals.

Nominate an advisor to an SGA Club or Organization to be Advisor of the Year!


Student Leader of the Year

First granted in 1986, by the Office of Student Life, this award recognizes an Emerson College sophomore or junior for their continued service and contributions to the College, their leadership role in the community, and their overwhelming impact on the quality of life at Emerson College.

Nominate an Emerson College sophomore or junior to be Student Leader of the Year!


Emersonian of the Year

The Emersonian of the Year award is presented annually by the Student Government Association (SGA) to a member of the Emerson community (student, faculty, staff or administrator) who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedication.  The Emersonian of the Year is an individual who is supportive and encouraging to the needs of the entire student body and the College.

Nominate an Emerson College community member  (student, faculty, staff or administrator) to be Emersonian of the Year!


Greek of the Year

This award is presented to a member of the undergraduate Greek community by the Office of Student Life.  The selection of this award is based upon the recipient’s contributions to their Greek organization and to the College community at large.

Nominate a current member of an Emerson College Greek organization to be Greek of the Year!


The Visionary Award

First presented in 2003, the Visionary Award for Distinction in Community Service and Social Advocacy honors a student who has shown a commitment to social justice.  This student has demonstrated an active participation in the community, social advocacy, and the education and empowerment of their peers.  The award recipient is selected by a committee appointed through the Institute for Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies.
