Adjusting to Campus Life

After you join the Emerson community and your initial excitement of studying in the United States has begun to fade, you may experience "culture shock." You may at times feel confused or overwhelmed by American ways, and you may miss your own country's way of life.

You're not alone in this situation. Though your support system from home may no longer physically be with you, you can confide in the friends you have made at Emerson. It is important not to withdraw, even if you are dealing with problems you have never faced before in your own culture.

Campus Resources and Services
