About the Center
![]() The Center for Health and Wellness provides many services for students. We can treat minor illnesses and injuries, help you manage your diet and weight, provide counseling and testing for STDs, and provide immunizations. |
Eligibility for Care
All students who pay the College Health Fee are eligible for services. Students must have a health record completed by their health care provider on file at the Center for Health and Wellness prior to their arrival on campus. As mandated by Massachusetts State Law Chapter 76, Section 15 C, this record must include valid and current immunizations.
Services Provided
- Nurse practitioner and physician assistant appointments for minor illnesses and injuries
- Nutritionist consultation for special medical dietary requirements, evaluations for weight management and eating disorders
- Triage and urgent care (NO EMERGENCY SERVICES)
- Telephone advice/consultations for self-care management
- Consultation and referral to supervising physician (when required) for evaluation/management of chronic health conditions
- GYN services, including annual PAP test and contraception counseling
- STD counseling and testing (when clinically indicated)
- Laboratory testing and X-rays (not covered under the health service fee)
- Health education counseling and programs
- Resource materials for health and medical issues
- Consultation and referral to specialists or outside testing facilities
- Immunization clinics (monthly during the academic year)
- Wellness education outreach programs
- Alcohol and drug education programs
- Tobacco and smoking cessation counseling
Confidentiality
Information concerning student visits to the Center for Health & Wellness and all health records are strictly confidential and only released with the student's written permission.
