Health & Safety

Emerson provides many services and resources to promote the health and safety of the entire campus community:

Health and Wellness

The Center for Health and Wellness offers treatment for acute and minor illnesses, routine exams and lab tests, health education, and referrals to other health professionals.

Staffed by professional psychologists, social workers, and a psychiatrist, Emerson College Counseling and Psychological Services (ECAPS) helps students deal with the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual aspects of undergraduate and graduate life.

Safety and Security

The Emerson Police Department, located on the ground level of the Little Building (80 Boylston Street), provides law enforcement protection and emergency services to the entire College community on a 24-hour-a-day, 7-days-a-week basis.

If you have an on-campus emergency, call Emerson Police at 617-824-8888.

If you have an off-campus emergency, call 911.

Sexual Assault Resources, Prevention, and Response

To help prevent sexual assault and rape and to establish a Culture of Consent, the College provides resources to educate men and women about understanding consent in intimate relationships, advice on staying safe, emergency contact information and phone numbers for students both on and off-campus, and what to do if you are sexually assaulted.
