We provide our clients with counsel and program development across the spectrum of public relations, public affairs, digital media, advertising, and other communications services.     The Harold Burson Summer Internship (HBSI) Program is a PAID internship at one of the U.S. Burson-Marsteller offices. Each intern is assigned to a client team or practice group. During the internship, students work closely with experienced industry professionals. HBSI interns are given the opportunity to work as a team member, while gaining valuable work experience. Colleagues from different specialty areas of Burson-Marsteller conduct seminars for interns each week. Interns are also grouped into teams where they work on a special HBSI project, which they present to a senior management panel for review at the conclusion of the internship. The summer internship offers an invaluable career-development experience that can often lead to an employment opportunity with us after graduation.

    Applicant Requirements:

    Rising seniors, 2015 graduates, and current graduate students may apply

    A cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) or equivalent

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Corporate and social media interns who can develop content, manage social analytics, handle research projects, write correspondence, participate in new business brainstorming sessions, conduct media outreach and play a critical role in the day-to-day functions of the team.
    • Video productions interns with an understanding of pre- and post-production steps, video graphics and animations in After Effects; Adobe Illustrator, and or Photoshop, and familiarity with professional video equipment and software.
    • Graphic design interns who are creative, visual thinkers with a working knowledge of fundamental design principles and experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).

    Radio Disney is the #1, 24-hour radio network devoted to kids, tweens and families. Kids help pick the music that is played and are encouraged to interact via a toll-free phone line to the Radio Disney studio. The network's current playlist, driven by listener requests and representing major record labels, includes recording artists Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Jordin Sparks, Chris Brown, Aly & AJ, The Cheetah Girls, Mitchel Musso, Colbie Caillat and Carrie Underwood. The network is available to 97% of the U.S. which includes over 50 terrestrial radio stations.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Represent Radio Disney and The Walt Disney Company brand. Maintain familiarity with Radio Disney programming, music, local hosts, national promotions, Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior and other synergy partners. Review event details prior to event and upon arriving on-site.
    Complete on-site event setup. (i.e. sound system, signage, backdrop, prize table, ensure cords are safe and taped down, table is neat, perform sound check, etc.) Engage audience. (i.e. invite select audience on stage for activities, administer contests, distribute prizes, assist guests with register to win prizing, etc.)

    Participate in interactive dances on stage and among the audience in the crowd. Drive company vehicles. (Background check will be performed to qualify) Sound system operation. (i.e. setup, tear down and system operation during events, etc.) Take event pictures for recaps.
